MCI JH-416B console

| Built in 1973, the MCI JH-416B is a 24 channel 16 buss recording console. These consoles are known for their punchy 70’s sound due mainly to hefty input, output, and microphone transformers in the signal path. They can warm up the sound from even the most sterile digital recordings. We've removed the original 2001 IC opamps and replaced them with Sage Electronics discreet class A opamps putting this console sonically in the same league (we believe) as an old API or Neve. This particular console was once owned by singer/songwriter Leon Russell. |
