‘I’ve worked in a lot of consoles, and api was actually my favorite.
We had a demideo api in studio b at Paisley Park and I’ve used the one at Sunset Sound and a few others through the years.  
These 416s do seem to remind me a bit of those sonically.
The eqs are different of course but overall it’s reminiscent once I put in the sage chips.
Everything just comes out bigger than when it went in!
